"Across whatever distance there is, I send you my love..."
-What Dreams May Come
This piece was commissioned by a dear friend of mine who was just about family at one point in my life and whom I will probably consider family for the duration of my life. Though the message attatched to the title (which is actually written into the painting as well, though very very discreetly) was not part of the description given to me by Jeff, but it kept resonating through my mind as I was creating it. I believe that phrase in particular may have been so strongly present at the time because it both relates to Jeff personally as well as myself and in that way forms an emotional-spiritual bond within the painting between us. This piece, more predominantly than most, is lovely and dear to me for far more than just the aesthetics.
Before it was shipped out Across Whatever Distance was shown at September's What is That Though? art show in Ronkonkoma, NY hosted by Anjipan.
