This is a comparison to growing up and being introduced to drugs, alcohol, and the party scene in general with falling down the rabbit hole. It seems a valid comparison, as many who fall down this hole often don't fall for a brief period of time, and this fall can be.. disorienting, to say the least. The small details were my favorite part of this drawing.
The title was given to this piece retrospectively. The assignment was to draw something you were thankful for, more or less. Though at the time the people in these photos we're of the utmost importance to me, I don't really speak to any one of them anymore. It's a little sad and ironic to think about, but such is life...
